Pennsylvania

Anson B. Nixon Park, PA

405 N Walnut Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348

Located right in Kennett Square, Anson B. Nixon Park is a versatile space that makes for beautiful pictures. The park is filled with tree covered trails, benches, bridges, streams, arches, patches of long grass and–most notably–a scenic lake that sits at the center of it all. On this lot also sits a playground and a tennis court perfect to keep little ones occupied!

Maryland

Fair Hill Trails, MD

Black Bridge Rd, Elkton, MD 21921

Arguably our favorite spot for pictures, Fair Hill Trails offers a rustic backdrop for photoshoots. Fair Hill’s staple feature is probably its rolling hills of golden grass. In conjunction with this, Fair Hill also has a large, wooded area and a large creek complete with a red covered bridge and rustic wooden fences.

Maryland

Charlestown Manor Beach, MD

7 Edgewater Ave, North East, MD 21901

A beautiful bayside spot that gives that “beachy” feeling without having to make the drive. This little slice of the seashore features multiple piers, rugged rocks and of course, a lovely bayside view. A perfect backdrop for portraits of all kinds, especially in Summer!

Delaware

Garden Valley Park, DE

418 Campbell Rd, Wilmington, DE 19807

Delaware’s hidden gem: Garden Valley Park! Garden Valley Park offers a more whimsical–yet simultaneously sophisticated –space for pictures. Tucked behind a tree line, this park also features a picturesque stream, bridges, tree-covered trails, ivy covered stone walls and rolling hills of long grass. This park is great for all pictures, but remains a particularly strong contender for couple shoots, headshots and grad photos.

Delaware

Carousel Farm Park

4651 Old Linden Hill Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808

Carousel Farm Park remains an underrated spot for pictures! A pretty, open lake sits at the heart of this secluded park which is surrounded by woods and open fields. Several trails, spotless white fences, fountains and a rustic tin bridge make for scenic backgrounds. This place truly is picturesque in all seasons!

Delaware

Carousel Park & Equestrian Center, Wilmington

3700 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808

Just a stone’s throw from Carousel Farm Park, the Carousel Equestrian Center is one of the more urbanized spots on this list. Built as a vibrant, miniature “wild west” town, this place offers a great backdrop for youthful, energetic photos. The Equestrian center is an ideal spot for photos for (or families with) young children.

If you’d like to get a few shots with a more traditional look, there’s plenty of trees and wide fields to offer a quick change of scenery. This park is fit with white fences, cobblestone walkways and–if you’re lucky–you may even catch a horse or two in the background of your pictures!
